green star
Amidst a dreamy, melancholic landscape, Green Star emerges with swirling distortion and hazy instrumental. All hailing from far sunnier places than the UK, the band of expats navigate London’s sombre city terrain by crafting their own universe shrouded in greyscales and wistful atmospheres. As every member plays a focal role as a vocalist, each song shifts through different states-of-being while still following the same poignant narrative.
Taking influences from the likes of Sonic Youth, the noise-rock trio pushes innovation for ambient sounds, flirting with different textures and tones when making music. Their visual references of industrial cityscapes and frosty climates sonically translate to a world that’s discernible even with your eyes closed - Green Star make music for the somnambulist. Even the live shows exude the same enveloping intensity, enticing audiences into dream-like trances.
